Android Gestures

The Android operation system supports a wide range of gestures. Manufacturers and app developers implement  some of them. Commonly implemented are: Touch, Long Touch, Drag, Swipe, Pinch Touch (or Tap) With one finger press momentarily and lift Double Touch Touch once and repeat without delay Long Touch With one finger touch without lifting the finger for a few seconds Drag Touch and hold down while dragging the finger Swipe Finger: Touch with finger and without releasing finger slide the finger Palm: Touch with palm or side of hand and slide hand Fling Run finger over screen like brushing off insect. Pinch Open: Touch screen with two fingers (more usually thumb and forefinger) and drag fingers apart Close: Touch screen with two fingers (more usually thumb and forefinger) and drag fingers together Two Fingers All of the single finger gestures listed above are also available for two fingers as well as Rotate.

HOME screen Drag right or left to change between HOME screens. Notifications From the top of the screen Drag down with one finger to open Notifications Quick Settings From the top of the screen Drag down with two fingers to open Quick Settings Open Google Now From the HOME button drag upwards to open Google Chrome. Chrome TAB Switch With Google Chrome open, two finger drag down from the Address bar. Previously open pages are displayed as a card pack. Drag the cards down until the required TAB is showing and either touch the card to open the page or touch the cross on the card to close the TAB
